I make travel videos and promote holiday destinations via social media, travel shows and talks. I use a documentary approach that focuses on the destination, not me! Recently I have specialised in the Islamic world including Morocco, Oman, Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
About Waterfront Films
Travel and photography are intertwined when I go on holiday. I love to research destinations in depth, plan trips in detail and promote destinations before and after travel. I use You Tube, Pinterest, Facebook and Flickr. I enjoy travel trade shows and talks e.g. WTM, Muslim Shopping and Travel Show and Oman and Saudi Arabia road shows.. I have participated in a Q and A session on Pakistan at the Luxury Travel Show in London, working with Xperience Pakistan. I have also spoken from the floor at travel talks at the Indian and Pakistan High Commissions in London. I do not write generally but have has one article on Pakistan published.
I am currently editing video of Morocco, Oman and Azerbaijan. My next projects are Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. I prefer a documentary, story telling style of video. I do not do hand held selfies walking down streets! My target audience is older and wants to know about the destination not me. I have a specialist interest in railways and many of my viewers are older, global rail travellers.
